Referees

The role of the basketball referee is to ensure the game is played in a saf and fair environment.
The referee enforces the rules of the game by acknowledging game play violations or fouls. The referee stops the game and issues the correct penalty.

It is important to remember that referees are humans too - they make mistakes and they have feelings. They contribute their knowledge and time to ensure all members of the basketball community whether it be coaches, players, spectators or other, to enjoy fun, safe, fair basketball.
